The Clinical Medical
Assisting program is designed to prepare the
student for entry-level positions as an assistant
in the administrative or clinical setting of a
medical office. The emphasis of the program is
placed on medical ethics, terminology, anatomy and
physiology, human relations, skills for the medical
office, use and care of diagnostic equipment,
venipuncuture, injections, pharmacology, universal
precautions, vital signs, hematology, EKG,
urinalysis, and microbiology.
The program also offers the student
an externship as part of their training and upon
successful completion of the program, graduates
will receive an Associate of Applied Science Degree
in Clinical Medical Assisting.
